Arch of Trajan
The triumph arch was erected in the honour of Trajan emperor in 114. Its relief represent civil and military scenes. Included in the original walls, the arch constituted the entrance of the city by the via Appia Traiana, road constructed by Trajan, the Iberian emperor in order to connect Rome to Brindisi, earning time on the original way Appia.

Church Santa-Sofia
The church Santa Sofia is a Lombard construction of about 760, today restored. It is one of the most important examples of the European architecture of the high Middle Ages.
The plan is for the age a bit original : it consists in a hexagon, and on to each apex, columns taken on the Iside' temple.

Castle of Benevento
The castle of Benevento, better known as Rocca dei Rettori (Rocca of the chancellors or Rocca di Manfred), is at the raised point of the city, predominating in the past the rivers Sabatto and Calore, and the two important roads : the via Appia and Traiana.
